Stonehenge & 29 canal locks

Interesting trip to Stonehenge via Devizes where the Wiltshire Heritage Museum is full of interesting facts and artefacts from Stonehenge.  Our friends had pre-booked a special access visit to go inside the great stone circle, a spooky experience on a winter evening.  If you want to do the same here's the English Heritage website.

We'd also seen the astonishing flight of locks at Caen Hill, Devizes.
(29 locks in 2 miles).  You have to operate them yourself so it must take an age to get up or down in your narrowboat.

We know Stonehenge well as one of our daughters lives close by but have never done a night time visit, sounds creepy.
Thankyou so much for your kind words of encouragement recently.
