Otto yesterday
Otto is one today. Bold, black and beautiful, very well behaved indoors. Outdoors - well, he's still overenthusiastic and becoming more adventurous so much room for improvement.
Before the storm
Nerines in late September. Above, the blue plumbago looks good in the autumn

Great pictures!
My garden can't make sense of the mild weather - roses, begonias, nasturtiums all still flowering. Apparently ducklings have arrived in Slimbridge! They must think it's April.
Otto is gorgeous. Give him a birthday cuddle from me. Love & hugs xxxx
Otto - what a fabulously handsome lad you are! And you look so good-natured, too. Can't believe you're a year old already. Happy Birthday from me, and high-paw from Jeff-Dog!
both Otto and your garden look magnificent!
Does he know it is his birthday? Has he had presents?
So handsome, Susie! Bold, black and beautiful indeed. Happy Birthday, Otto.
And your garden is looking lovely as always.
Beuatiful Boy! Happy Birthday to him. It was Roxy's 1st birthday on the 19th... they could have had a joint party??!! xx
Thanks vm for your comments. Otto has enjoyed his birthday - two walks and lots of treats.
He managed not to chase anything today, even crows, so he's definitely better behaved than Fenton Benton anyway.
Oh isn't he handsome! Happy Birthday to Otto. I can't believe he's a year old already.
How good your garden still looks! In spite of the frost my fuchsias are still flowering. Otto is of course the ultimate garden ornament.
Oh Susie, he's beautiful. He has that gangly, long legged adolescent look. Gorgeous.
Otto looks so sleek and your garden neat:)
Thankyou so much Susie for taking the time to comment and show your appreciation of my Milling from Olive to Oil post.
Oh, adorable Otto. I always pop in when I see his name in your subject line. :<)
And can dogs really be 'improved?'
Thanks again for all the kind comments. Otto obviously attracts more interest than my book reviews!
Yes, Nan, he does need a bit more training and to learn a bit more patience (he won't be a gundog, tho) - but his character and appearance are beyond reproach:)
