Here is Otto, 8 weeks old. He's a bit confused at the moment, having just left his mother, brother and sisters.
He's now having a siesta after a large lunch. I was so excited this morning about his arrival that I forgot to have breakfast - a very unusual omission. Perhaps he will be good for the figure. I expect I'll bore you to bits with photos of him.

He's beautiful Susie. You are going to have so much pleasure with this little chap. Welcome to the dog bore fraternity.
Oh, lovely. Looks an absolute cutie!
Welcome Otto, what a handsome puppy.
He's gorgeous, Susie. Between him and the birthday present you're going to have a lovely time.
Lots of pictures, please, Susie!!
I echo Cornflower, Susie. Please, lots more photos. What a good name for a handsome puppy. And kudos to you for being willing to housebreak a puppy in the winter.
Another blog friend has been sharing photos and videos of her four whippet puppies that were born in Dec. Now with them and the arrival of Otto am feeling puppy envy!
Oh Susie, Otto is just gloriously gorgeous. (I bet every hero you have from now on will be dark-haired, with soulful eyes!)
A severe case of puppy-envy here, too...
Will tell Otto how much he has been admired, thank you. Currently reading book called Perfect Puppy - we shall see.
Welcome Otto!
Am looking forward to all the pics, Susie.
What a sweetheart. Look forward to more pics.
Oh gorgeous.
'Bore' away with the photos. Please!
Oh oh oooooohhhhhhh! My heart is melting. I want one! I want one!
Oh I want one!
My sister has a black labrador and she's nearly a year old now and utterly gorgeous.
I can't imagine ever getting bored with pictures of Otto. Love the name too.
I can't wait for more pictures! Otto is adorable and he has such a nice name! I love how they are called Labradors over there. We say, 'black lab' or 'yellow lab' or 'chocolate lab'
Thank you all again for encouraging comments. Otto has taken over my life already.
