Normandy part 2

Back to our Normandy trip.  Rouen is holding an Impressionist Art Exhibition.  (Click on Anglais if this link appears in French.)  Ends 26 September, check website for opening days and times.

We saw some stunning Pissarros (as above.)  I was also rather taken by the work of Leon Lemaitre, left.  You can google some more of his pictures, but the originals are much more impressive than on line. The details of people struggling through the rain touched me.

If you're anywhere near, it's an exhibition worth visiting, though the gallery is right in the middle of this large and busy city so it may be a dodgy drive.
