Cirque du Soleil

Wonderful (if expensive) afternoon at the Albert Hall to see the Cirque du Soleil's Varekai.  Still-photos can't do justice to the atmosphere, the energy and pace of the choreography, the music, the lighting, costumes and special effects of this sleek, theatrical circus.  The skill and bravery of the beautiful acrobats made us hold our breath and 'By Jove' and 'Golly' were heard all round.

Do go and see the Cirque du Soleil at least once in your lifetime if you can. Here's an article about it.

Loved the Albert Hall too - first time I've been inside.  Only slight disappointment its Cafe Consort where indifferent food was somewhat indifferently served.  Perhaps Sunday was a bad day. Also don't drink anything before you go to a show, by the way, as there are massive queues for the Ladies lavatories, despite modernisations.  Not sure why architects never seem to get the hang of this problem.

We took our daughters as a Birthday treat to a performance of the 'Cirque du Soleil' many years ago and thought it was absolutely brilliant. So certainly back up your recommendation.

As for the queues, male architects do you think?

I have only been to the Albert Hall once, for a concert. The setting was fabulous. I'll never forget it.

I've never been to the Albert Hall, but it looks amazing when on tv.

Cirque du Soleil is so impressive, I don't know how they manage to do everything.
