Writing News

Posted the last of the free offer copies of An Old-Fashioned Arrangement today. Hope they all arrive safely. Books have gone to Kathy in Australia, Cheryl in the USA, JJ/Teastains in Thailand, Pumpkin in Switzerland, Linda in France, Debs in Jersey, Liz in Shropshire, Margaret in Manchester and Jennifer in Cornwall. I sent one to a reader in Scotland the other day too, so that’s a good spread.

I love visiting blogs about places where I used to live and particularly enjoy Pumpkin's and Linda's photos. Actually I enjoy Nan's photos from a Hill Farm too, and Musings from a Muddy Island and Cornflower's. Well, all the blogs I drop in on, come to think of it. But must try and work too - see below.

Paris Imperfect may arrive soon – the publication date is December 1st but authors usually get their five free copies in advance. Excited at the thought of seeing it in the flesh, as it were. It's a hardback so hope readers will order it from their library.

My fourth novel Tropical Connections will probably come out in June 09, so must work hard before the deadline of end Jan. Yes, am moving out of Europe this time.

I was very excited to receive my copy. I'm just finishing my book club choice (Emergency Sex and other Desperate Measures) and then I hope to get on to yours.

Thanks again Susie.

Thank you again for allowing me to have a copy of your book! I have been reading it at night when the little ones are snoring. :)

Dear Susie,

I received your giveaway book in October and I have just finished reading it. I really enjoyed the read. I haven't read any of your books before so did not know what to expect. I'm still not sure what category you would come under but at the end of the day I would say it would come under 'a good read'. Your writing is lovely and soon got me engrossed in the story in which it interweaved and went into different directions but still kept me wanting to read the next page to see what was happening in Kim's life.

It is a book I'm going to talk about at my book group next week. Unlike most book groups, were you have a set book to talk about, the one at Truro Library we talk about any book we have read and would like to recommend. So yours will definitely come under this category. The other book I shall be talking about is Willa Cather's 'My Antonia' which I thought was so beautiful. So you are in good company.

Once again thank you for sending me this book and I will definitely look out for your other books.

Jennifer.

PS. I have yet to read a bad book by your publishers Transita

Thank you for your encouraging comments, Jennifer. Perhaps you can persuade Truro library to stock Paris Imperfect too!
Also pleased to hear you enjoy Transita books. I will pass on your kind words.
