Sweet-peas and salvia. Recent reading.

If you arrive at my door this jungle is what you will see today. The sweet peas seed themselves and appear every year regardless. The salvia shrub in the foreground is relatively new (four years old?) - satisfactory in that it flowers from June until November.
Recent reading (briefly, because I'm not meant to be blogging). Enjoyed Body Surfing by Anita Shreve, a short, undemanding story about relationships, interesting characters, not that much plot. One thought I had was that it could only have been written convincingly by someone who knows beautiful beachside New Hampshire WASPs.

If you call that a jungle I wonder how you'd describe my garden now that it's very overgrown with weeds after the steady rain and I can't deal with them because my knee is out of action.
